Course Director: Kok Wah Hew, Ph.D., DABT, Takeda Global R&D Center
Location: Noblis, Inc., 3150 Fairview Park Dr. South, Falls Church, VA 22042

This course is designed to provide a basic training in reproductive and developmental toxicology. Participants will obtain an overall understanding in reproductive and developmental biology, the principles of various testing approaches for reproductive and developmental toxicology, with strong emphasis on the practical application of these principles and interpretation of nonclinical safety data.

Who will benefit from this course?

  1. Scientists who have little or no training in this field and are interested in
    • starting a career in reproductive and developmental toxicology in the industry
    • managing reproductive and developmental toxicity studies as part of safety assessment, or
    • reviewing and interpreting reproductive and developmental toxicity data
  2. Experienced reproductive and developmental toxicologists who want to attend a refresher course

For those in category (1) above, the course will provide a broad basic and useful knowledge to help design and/or interpret reproductive and developmental toxicity studies.

For those in category (2) above, the course will provide a useful review of the basic biology of development and present an overview of the molecular biology of development.

Meals
The following food and beverage breaks are included in the Course registration.
Breakfast: A light continental breakfast will be provided Monday thru Thursday mornings.
Breaks: A beverage and snack break will be provided during the first scheduled break each morning and afternoon.
Lunch: Attendees will received a Noblis cafeteria meal card with $10 for each lunch on Monday thru Wednesday. Attendees are responsible for any expenses over the credit on the card. Please return your meal card to the session organizers after lunch on Wednesday.
