Description: This award will include a cash prize and is presented to a student or postdoctoral fellow in recognition of scholarship in teratology and service to the Teratology Society. The Marie W. Taubeneck Fund established in memory of Dr. Taubeneck supports this award.
Eligibility requirements: This award is open to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and is based on the following criteria:
* Level of involvement in the Teratology Society
* Attendance at a minimum of one other Teratology Society meeting
* Level of enthusiasm for developmental and reproductive toxicology
* Courage to pursue new methods and areas of research
* Leadership among and mentoring of fellow students
Judging process: Mentors are polled for their choices and students vote on their choice at the meeting. The final decision is made by the Student Affairs Committee.
