Educational Funding

For many individuals, the thought of college is frightening because of the escalating costs of attending a 4-year college program, not to mention the possibility of continuing on and receiving a graduate or professional degree. However, there are many sources for obtaining financial assistance in the form of scholarships, fellowships, grants, work study, etc..

Below is a list of some of the resources on the web that will help you find all the answers and money you will need to start toward a rewarding education. This is by no means a comprehensive list but should provide enough information to help you get started.

Graduate Schools

Many graduate students are fully funded by their educational institution through Departmental funds or extramural funding such as research grants from the National Institutes of Health and training grants from the National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences. These are only two of many possible sources for extramural funding. If needed, students can get additional funding through fellowships, grants, and work study. The National Science Foundation is a great source for this type of funding.
