MARTA
Membership
The
Middle Atlantic Reproduction and Teratology Association (MARTA)
invites interested persons to become members. MARTA is a professional
society that was established in 1968 and is dedicated to encouraging
proficiency and knowledge in the fields of animal reproduction and
developmental toxicity. MARTA sponsors a workshop or presentation
at a related society meeting and one meeting per year in which invited
guest speakers give presentations on a wide variety of topics of
interest. In addition, MARTA encourages the frank exchange of ideas
and information in areas such as historical control data, testing
procedures, laboratory problems, and employment opportunities. Meeting
sites are held within the mid-Atlantic area.
As
voted upon at the 61st Steering Committee Meeting and
discussed at the 76th Business Meeting, membership in
MARTA is an annual occurrence. Anyone can join at any time during
the calendar year for the remainder of that calendar year. Memberships
must be renewed each calendar year.
As
voted upon at the 85th MARTA business meeting, the annual
registration fee is $20.00, which entitles you to attendance at
all MARTA meetings for that calendar year, The Directory of MARTA
members, and all MARTA produced publications. In the past several
years, these publications have included the Glossary of Terms for
Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology, the Bibliography of Reproductive
and Developmental Toxicology Test Guidelines and Related Publications,
and the Historical Control Data for Developmental and Reproductive
Toxicity Studies (Rats and Rabbits).
