Student
and Postdoctoral Fellow Travel Award
Description:
The Teratology Society makes available travel awards in an effort
to assist graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in attending
the Teratology Society Annual Meetings. Students and Young Investigators
who present an abstract are eligible to receive a $500 Travel Award.
These awards are designed to help defray a portion of the travel
costs to the meeting and will be presented to awardees during the
Annual Meeting.
Eligibility
requirements: Applicants should be enrolled in a program leading
to a graduate degree in a field of study related to teratology or
should be postdoctoral fellows in such a field and should intend
to attend the Teratology Society Annual Meeting. Award recipients
must agree to assist with the operation of projection equipment
during platform presentations at the annual meeting. Applicants
wishing to be considered for a Travel Award must apply for the award
when submitting their abstract for presentation at the Annual Meeting.
Abstracts are submitted electronically using an on-line submission
system. During the submission process you will be instructed to
check the boxes for the awards you wish to apply for and given instructions
on how to provide the required additional information to the chair
of the Student Affairs Committee. The following information must
be submitted in order to be considered for this award:
- A
letter of application from their research advisor or director,
and
- (optional)
Additional introduction, methods, results, discussion, and/or
up to two pages of illustrative materials can accompany the abstract.
Judging
process: Awardees are selected by the Student Affairs Committee. |
