As we enter the last quarter of 2009 it is time to reflect on the past year and look toward the future. Many of us had the opportunity to enjoy the great science, to catch up with old friends, and to meet new ones at our annual meeting in Puerto Rico. This meeting provided the opportunity to showcase our multi-disciplinarity and highlight the global relevance of the work we do. Since for some of us 2009 was a difficult year to secure travel funds, we recognize that not everyone was able to attend this meeting. We are especially pleased that both Jan Friedman and Melissa Tassinari have made their slides available on our web site: Jan Friedman gave the 2009 Josef Warkany Lecture, entitled “Clinical Teratology: In Bed with the Devil” (http://www.teratology.org/awards_warkany.asp ) and Melissa Tassinari presented “Human Teratogens: The Year in Review” (http://www.teratology.org/teratogen.asp ). We plan to continue to make some of the presentations at our meetings available on our web site.

The theme for the meeting is “Healthy Lifestyles for Parents and Children.” The meeting will start off on Saturday with the Continuing Education Course, which will be on Drug Disposition and Teratogenesis. This promises to be a top-notch course,
