Job Description:
The Pharmacology and Toxicology group in the Discovery Sciences Unit at RTI International is seeking an established Reproductive/Developmental Toxicologist.
The ideal candidate should be interested in basic research (governmental and collaborative opportunities), and should have experience leading major technical projects, while following budget and time constraints.
Requirements:
This position requires a Ph.D., or equivalent in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related biological sciences. DABT preferred.
10 years experience in developmental and reproductive toxicology (DART)
Strong working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations/principles (FDA, EPA, OECD) as well as Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements
Experience in regulatory, guideline-compliant (FDA, ICH, EPA, OECD) DART study design, performance, and interpretation
Strong publications record
Skills:
Ability to lead major technical projects within time and budget constraints
Ability to serve as proposal leader for winning proposals to expands RTI’s research
Prior managerial/supervisory experience
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of investigators and experience with cross-disciplinary work and data interpretation
Ability to use knowledge gained to inform colleagues, expand current project work and to acquire future work
Excellent verbal and written skills
